Student, 8, forced to urinate on lawn

Cape bus driver's order confirmed by Lee district

An 8-year-old Cape Coral girl was forced to get off a school bus and urinate on a front lawn while other Cape Elementary pupils watched.

Lee Adams, 33, the girl's mother, told The News-Press on Tuesday that her daughter, Carmen, did not speak of last Thursday's incident until this past weekend because she was too scared to talk about it sooner.

"My daughter is scarred for life," she said.

Lee Adams said she plans to have Carmen get counseling over the summer. Carmen did not attend school Monday or Tuesday, and the little girl is unsure whether she will go to school today or Thursday, the last day of the school year. Next year Adams said she will try to transfer Carmen to another school.
