When I lived in Philadelphia as a child I remember there being alleyways everywhere; all the blocks were cut by them.
The following may or may not be true. Names have been changed to protect those who should be innocent. This was when kids could roam all around and stay out past dark. The rule was, "If you gotta go, you gotta go." So, kids went--in any alley, anytime. Mostly #1s, but Tommy said he did a #2 in an alley once. And then there was the time some girls peeked through a fence to see both Tommy and another boy peeing. No one was traumatized. The girls got a good look, giggled a lot, and the boys were proud to show off what they had. No big deal. |
