Some months ago, I was physically assaulted near my home. My assailant called me various things during the attack, including "pedophile". I did not understand how or why the attack occurred, and did not speculate openly without fact about the matter. There was some physical evidence of the assault, including a video recording made by outdoor parking-lot surveillance cameras. The Marion County Prosecutor's office refused to take any action in the matter. I was told informally that "I brought it on myself", from their perspective, for public comments I have made in the past which resulted in my being included on various "anti-pedophile" websites.

A relation of a person involved in that attack has approached me with information regarding what happened. There is a vigilante group operating here, targeting "known pedophiles". The reason this person approached me is because she has grown concerned about the activities of this group, following a recent violent attack on another individual. This person's information is that this group includes an active member of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, and that the group has misused police resources to obtain information in furtherance of their color of law activities.

To the extent that the Federal Bureau of Investigations and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police refuse to investigate these types of crimes, and the respective prosecutorial authorities refuse to bring action against the offenders, the United States Government and the Indiana State Government lack jurisdiction over the class of individuals targeted by these vigilante groups.
