Burroughs' assistant/manager/heir) was the victim of a brutal anti-gay beating a couple of years ago and the police and DA decided not to investigate or prosecute: "It took the police six months to give a case report to the D.A. It took the D.A. two weeks to decide they weren’t going to bring any charges because they “couldn’t prove the case.” "
