Just as MAA's are not afforded any civil rights granted to other minority groups, I guess it's to be expected that hate crimes against us will be overlooked by the law.
However, Kevin, I refuse to believe that the police won't do anything about these attacks. MAA's are supposed to be equal to everyone else under the law, including our right to be protected from assault. They can't tell us that we "bring these attacks on ourselves" by being openly MAA. No one should fear attacks by vigilantes. Of course, these ridiculous sex offender registries constantly subject us to all sorts of attacks by vigilantes. If it's legal to purchase a hand gun where you live, I would agree with Cat...buy one. You have the right to protect yourself. If the law refuses to protect us from assault, and if they continue to endanger us with the SO registries, they have to expect us to take other measures to protect ourselves. Nobody should be "open season" to vigilante justice. ![]() |
