In the late 2000s and early 2010s, when libertarianism was experiencing a surge in exposure and popularity, I remember they would often argue that child porn should be legal, that the age of consent was authoritarian and nonsensical (typically following a family/community decision as opposed to state authoritarianism). This was even though they really weren't that sex positive but they understood the ethics and were, on average, principled about it.

Slowly, due to mainstream exposure, they started turning their backs to this. Libertarian places online started banning such discussion or open MAPs.

Cowards.

Now, like most others, they use us as a way to gain social favor. "Stone the evil pedophile! Look how good we are! See? We oppose them so our worldview must be good!"
