Foundations

My life has been a confusing tumble through time and space with no hand holds that have been sustainable.

The people I gravitate to are ones that seem to me to have a 'foundation' on which they operate; something so solid to them that, even if beat down, they can rest on that rock.

How does one obtain the foundation? What steps must be taken to build it and feel safe on it?

Or am I looking at this all wrong?
