What you say makes plenty of sense -- and I don't nearly believe that "nothing" will ever "change my world." It isn't so much that the particular words themselves are the important thing, it's that for whatever reason, for me, that has been a tool that works to re-center myself.

For what it's worth, I started reading your post above and thought, "Oh, wow, that sounds so familiar..." before getting to the end and realizing you were replying "in contrast to" my previous bit.

Anyway... I guess what I was going for is "find whatever works as a temporary foundation, even if it doesn't necessarily make sense as to why it works." That was the "silly" and "trite" bit, I suppose.
