My whole life is made up of foundations.

They tend not to be very solid, though. Rather, they're ever-changing as I am constantly learning more about myself and the world around me.

But the whole reason I have foundations is that they make me feel more secure in my day-to-day.

Example of a foundation for me: I am a good person.

They can be as general and as simple as that... and in some situations, I will honestly just rest on that particular foundation and be able to feel better/safer.

You don't obtain foundations... you already have them. It sounds to me like you just need to identify yours.
