Yeah, that whole "plight of Pedophilia" cr*p.

It doesn't help that those who become media-whores to "help" us describe Pedophilia as a condition we "suffer from," or a "curse."

There's even VirPed with its notion that this orientation is an "unfortunate burden." Would they try to sell that BS to the gay kid in Salt Lake City? "Its not just them its you, your love is "unfortunate."

Its not homosexuality that creates homophobia, and its not pedophilia that creates the Haters. Their persecutory ways are the sickness which they are unfortunate to have.

Being blind to the love of others poisons their souls. But loving another is never one's misfortune.

Maybe our "helpers" believe that viewing us as victims is a necessary step on the path to acceptance. But I believe that the starting point is the awareness that we are ordinary folks, and that moving from normalcy into being "sick" or a victim is a step backwards that hobbles self-esteem and disempowers those who should be empowered.
