I have many problems with your post, and they are all conceptual... First one is that it defines attraction in an overly broad manner... so broad it is absolutely meaningless...

By ‘attracted’ I mean attracted by any reason

So, the toy maker is attracted to children, or the bra maker is attracted to women; for profits, yes, but that is a reason too...

Mmmmhhh...

Hardly what most people (inside and outside the psychological, sociological and related fields) think when they listen the word "attraction"...

Second...

To take the decision of an action, there are some pre-requisites (and then of course, goes the decision)...

I can see people needing cultural indoctrination for forming lifelong (or at least, long and for an indeterminate term) relations which include sexual exchange; or at least a deep emotional and psychological connection with a person... which could probably be reasonably named attraction...

I can see you needing a certain level of trust and a certain level of sexual interest to form a relationship as friends with privileges... which could probably be reasonably named attraction...

I can see you needing a certain level of horniness and a certain level of sexual interest to have a one-night-stand with someone who is not a stranger... which could probably be reasonably named attraction...

I can see you needing a high level of sheer horniness and an overriding need to get off to engage in bar sex with anyone around you who is willing to, man, woman or sheep... I don't really see that being named attraction...

But, really, to rape someone, all I see is you need to be able to brutalise them, whether physically, mentally, or by any other means... I don't see why the ability to brutalise someone needs or should be named attraction...

Or ask in Dateline if they are attracted to paedophiles (which, under your definition they are, twice - because they use us for profits, and because they are able to brutalise us)
