Pretty much all these shooters have incredible grievances against society.
When it's been a white male the FBI said that they need to keep more track of white males who haven't had sex yet and have no friends. While society continues to do everything it can in culture to push those people to the fringes of society. Now there is a different narrative of compassion toward this shooter. People can have one or the other. They can look into what is causing shootings and treat all causes with compassion and sympathy or they can treat none of them with it. If you change it based on the identity of the shooter than it's just being hypocritical. In addition to that society needs to take a good long hard look at why shootings per capita is up from 20's 30's 40's 50's 60's etc despite all the weapons being legal in those times to. Cause we can debate gun control, but that shows there is a massive cultural element to it as well. |
