Protesting is not looting and burning private property; which is what KR showed up for, at a dealership which had already been attacked the previous night, called in by its owner, and with a medical kit he was willing to use on rioters too if they needed it.
I'm used to have several times a year feminist and leftist demonstrations basically destroying my city center. A traffic light, a bus stop, a cellphone shop, a convenience store stocked with tobacco and alcohol or buildings with historical value are not at fault for any of their grievances. Neither are the homeless camps which the government has to evict for the safety of the very homeless people who are, if not overly aesthetic, inoffensive. Of course people have a right to protest. Of course. But not to loot and vandalize. The only difference to a common burglar or arsonist is that these don't claim a political cause. |
