If you believe that you need contact with an LG to be happy, you're setting yourself up for depression and loneliness. I would say that to anyone, including hetero men in terms of women, because we can't really control that. While I wasn't replying to that point in my first reply - the Dalai Lama writes a lot about this (note: I don't consider myself Buddhist) - that Western culture in particular puts too much emphasis on romantic and sexual relationships. And that we lose control of our own happiness if we let our own happiness depend on anything external, or anything that we cannot directly control.

If Buddhist monks with no possessions other than a robe, a bowl, and a toothbrush are happier than you - and with no female contact - think about that.
