I don't know what you mean. I've been away from the community for too long and some things you mentioned I don't understand.

Did you mean a specific politician or a public figure? Or just general members of the community? I'm having a tough time understanding your post. We know that if we speak out, our lives will be ruined. You can not reason with fear (and disgust). It takes time and I can not think of any group that's more repulsive to the public than us. It's not a right time to act.

But voting or expressing support for political party ABC over XYZ or PQR because of their more liberal social stance is something that is allowed. On next election cycle, support the party that seems even closer to our goals. Society will change and we might not live to see it, but we helped push it. Rushing would only damage our cause.

Do we even have a cause? I remember the old days on this board when there was much arguing what it should be. We're not unified, we're not ready, we're not coming out.

Also, nobody says what they really believe, ever. They might not lie about it but they never tell the full truth.
