Indeed, but this predates "gay" phase by many years! It's very easy to be concerned about image issues, when you're already free to love those you want, as gays were and pedos are NOT (even in your end goal).

Would you reject the hypothesis that an admitted would-be sodomite would be more inclined to break the strict sodomy laws of earlier times than someone lacking this inclination?
