All I did was tell a therapist of my attraction and the next day the bears were at my door.

I am truly sorry to hear this, but this is the kind of thing that B4U-ACT seeks to change.

I'm curious to know how the cops got a warrant to actually search your place for CP though. I'm not saying you did anything wrong, I know cops can intimidate and force themselves into peoples homes , convincing them they have the right to do so. I'm just wondering if this is what happened.

It still doesn't change the fact that therapists are still not legally required to report anyone for having an attraction to minors.

Maybe if B4U-ACT was around 20 years ago you could have potentially attended a workshop and met a therapist who would not have contacted the police based on your orientation.

I also want to make it clear that I am in no way saying MAPs should just tell the average random MHP about their attractions.
