I don't see much difference between 5 and 20. But I do see a huge difference between admitting guilt and saying your prosecutors were justified in their actions, and fighting them and possibly winning.

Last year, there was an article about a young man who could have plead guilty and not gone to prison for having a younger girlfriend, but he would have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. The alternative was to go to prison for a year or two. He chose to go to prison. He did not admit guilt to their bullshit, and he did not have to register as a sex offender when he got out. This guy has my highest respect. As an addendum, he got back together with his girlfriend, who was by then over 18.

There is a ZERO chance I would plead and admit guilt for something as stupid as looking at pictures on the internet, whether it was true or not. I don't make deals with the devil.

I'm not saying I disrespect Trucker. I don't. He got screwed by the mental health industry, and ignorant laws that mandate ignorance and punish thought crime. Perhaps I would have considered a plea deal when I was young and naive, but now that I am older and have thought it through, it will never happen.

So I'm just curious about Trucker's case. He accepted a rather harsh punishment in a plea deal, but what was his alternative?
