I bet after five years you will.
Last year, there was an article about a young man who could have plead guilty and not gone to prison for having a younger girlfriend, but he would have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. The alternative was to go to prison for a year or two. He chose to go to prison. He did not admit guilt to their bullshit, and he did not have to register as a sex offender when he got out.
I'd really like to see a link to that because it is hard to believe that someone does felony time for child sex abuse and then does NOT have to register. I've never heard of a case like that; I don't even think judges have such discretion.
I certainly would not wish such a fate upon you nor anyone, but I'd like to see just how brave you'd be when offered to take a five-year deal, or go to trial and near definitely get 20.
