I don't think so. I think their views are unrelated to each other. Carey comes from Canada which is pretty politically liberal and anti-gun rights. Chloe comes from the US South which is pretty pro-2nd Amendment and supportive of gun rights, and her parents are probably political conservatives and she may be getting these theories from them. I'm also pro-2nd Amendment, but not a political conservative and I'm not so sure about these "theories" of hers. I don't think the government was "behind" Sandy Hook, but sure, anti-gun politicians are using it as an excuse to push their preferred policies which would normally be politically unpopular at the national level and in a lot of states.
