It seems strange to me that teliophile heterosexuality, homosexuality, and bisexuality would have roughly the same ratio of males to females, but chronophilias such as pedophilia, hebephilia, ephebophilia, and nepiophilia would be almost exclusive male. It's hard to say exactly how many pedophiles are female, but my educated guess is that the percentage is at least somewhat larger than most estimates. Unfortunately, the vast majority of what the so called experts know about pedophilia is based on criminal offenders (who tend to be predominately male to begin with, regardless of what the crime is), and not your run of the mill pedophile. I think as more and more non offending pedophiles are studied, and as pedophilia becomes more socially acceptable, at least as an orientation one doesn't choose (even if it's considered something one can never act on) we'll see more and more women come out as pedophiles. I think there's less suspicion of women as pedophiles, so it's easier for them to stay in the closet or even hide out in the open because the same behavior that would make a male pedophile seem suspicious may be considered innocuous when done by a female pedophile. It's somewhat similar to how female homosexuality and bisexuality has faced less stigma and been more socially acceptable than male homosexuality and bisexuality.
