I give the man the benefit of the doubt because his relationships were over almost a decade, with several children who apparantly had no need to tell, and because the kids seemed comfortable with the man (cooking breakfast), and because I know how these things go.

Loving, consensual relationships are always distorted by media and law enforcement. They lie.
