There is just a whole new level of helplessness with sexual assault. You can get beaten and curl into a ball or try to run away. If you are raped, someone is literally inside of your body. Thats about as intrusive as it gets, its a real mindfuck, I'll tell you. I don't even feel like I own myself. Shouldn't human beings feel like they have ownership of their own bodies? Their own minds?

Yes, I took a very bad beating, it was quite traumatic. But being phsyically assaulted, in my case being beaten, also does not carry the social stigma of rape. If you tell someone you got beat up, they usually don't call you a liar and a whore.
