Rape is not about sex though, well very rarely is it at least. And I still do not know why the individuals who raped me raped me, I do not understand how they can do things like that. I can understand why I got the crap beaten out of me all the time at school, I pissed off all the wrong people. But what did I do to deserve years of violence? What did I do to deserve being raped at that party last year? My friends said I drank to much, I guess I did, but that didn't give that son of a bitch to do what he did, and no still means no, no matter how much you have had to drink.

No respect for human life, no empathy for the suffering of others. I still want to know what makes a man want to shove a pocket knife into a 10 year old girls vagina because she wouldn't spread her legs so he could rape her. I mean I have been robbed before, and got pretty roughed up. I can understand why they did that. They wanted my money, all $2.25. It was scary, sure, but I am over it.

Yes trauma varies. But considering that I still have PTSD from sexual violence, I don't think I am the best person to objectively discuss this with. I still know where I stand.
