There was no talk amongst the donors of doing such.. Todd took it upon himself to decide to do it, and do so without permission from the donors nor even a personal note to said donors of what happened to the money. His claim of having donated it anonymously is so incredibly unbelievable that it is laughable.

He refused to tell even Lindsay where the money went. He refused to tell the donors where their own money went to. A large number of the donors donated that money for the sole purpose of supporting the dual purpose endeavor -- helping children and making a political statement. Anonymous donation they could have, and would have, done on their own without passing it through a middle man.

The simple fact of the matter is, it doesn't matter for a second whether or not Todd did donate it anonymously like he claims. Even if he did, he stole it from the donors to do so, and that is unacceptable. As he refuses to provide even a claim of where, exactly, the money went to, there is absolutely no reason to trust that he did not simply keep it for himself.

His actions and words since this all went down indicate that he simply kept the money and is relying on various things to keep him safe from retribution, most notably "you'll have to out yourself to get your money back" and "back off or I post pictures of you and someone close to you online and put you both in danger".
