Thank you for your maturity and understanding that you display in the manner in which you reply to things, Payned. For now, you have my respect, and now my acceptance and support for open discussion from all. I, of course, still recommend to all that they use Torpark or the Tor bundles and go to lengths to protect their anonymity, but I give my support for any who wish to join CAT and have open discussion.

I don't know why you think that I will kill you on the "wolves in sheeps' clothing" issue. I believe it myself, and though I don't wish to point any fingers, I will say that those that I suspect are not being honest in their GL values are vocal non-contact people. Perhaps it is the cynic in me, but I have learned that it is usually those speaking the most loudly against something that are doing it behind the scenes - much like the anti-paedophile, "child advocate" daycare owner that we all know that in reality was molesting the children at his daycares. While some unsavory people may indeed be posing as pro-contact GLers, they would be the least intelligent of the bunch.

For what it's worth, Payned, I guarantee you that if any of us ever found such a "wolf" among our midst, they would be unlikely to make it far enough for your side to get ahold of them. You may not believe me when I say this, but we hate them even more than you do. While you hate them for what they would do to children, we hate them for hurting children period, for hurting those we love, for making our world a less than happy place, and giving the idiots of the world more reason to try and claim that we are they.

In regards to the one making your skin crawl, are we talking about a notorious nepi that had a tendency to write stories that even many of us found disturbing at best? Not that I am taking a stand for or against this person, just trying to understand what the issue is.

As for suggestions on the board, I will state it here openly rather than privately, because all people deserve to know and discuss it. Magneto made a very important point from our side of the table when he brought up the complaint that you close off the Great Debate forums from general viewing. I don't consider this an open and public debate if the general public can not see the content of it without jumping into the fray. Please open these topics for all to see because 1) none of us wish to sign up for something that we have no real information on (I'm sorry, but the general part of that forum is not equal to seeing what really is happening in those threads), and 2) as was said on the board, the largest part of our activism in debating is getting the message to those who wish to learn but not join in. Our largest complaint against your side on that issue has been the lack of willingness to allow our side to be openly represented, and hiding those forums from public view is anything but creating an open forum with willingness for our side to be heard publicly.

Thank you for your time, understanding, and open mindedness.
