Wouldn't it be more accurate to say that you are attracted to minors and choose to be tormented by your feelings? What happens in this world is not within our power - but how we react to it very much is.

Your suggestion to go to an anti-pedophile board is just plain stupid: I am attracted to little girls, and I wouldn't trust one of those people with my life.

And yet, there alone is where your advocacy is not percieved as, frankly, psychotic, extremist, and dangerous. In all the debates on the off-topic boards, the opposing side was viewed as at least equally cognitively disfunctional - and by the end, moreso.

It would sound like a fascinating insight as to why a person would choose to 'punish' themselves nonsensically instead of loving and accepting themselves as the person they are.

...however, many if not most of the philosophies you have attacked as 'groupthink' have been independantly synthesized repetitively throughout human history - Wöllenstoncraft, Locke, Da Vinci, Christopher, Russeau, Clemens - over and over, recurring themes have managed to appear on their own, without the need of reinforcement - or even its option - from outside sources.

...one might wonder why it is so, or why they manage to be so pervasive even in direct opposition to the prevaling groupthink of the briefer moment.
