it seems that you approched this from the assumption that it was a willing relationship, which most are not.

i approch it from the perspective that they are not willing relationships. i do not rule out the possibility that some may be, but that i should not ignore ALL of them simply because one in 10 may be fully consentual. (could be more, could be less)

i realize what happens AFTER the abuse is gennerally worse than the abuse itself ... not always a result of therapists (becuase many sexually abused young people do not recieve, or compleate therapy) ...

anyway, some here would not at all, ever, help some one catch a sexual abuser ... because off the CHANCE that it may be consentual ...

i dont go for GC group think ... i belive that the risk of REAL abuse is too great .. and catch the abusers first, ask questions later ... better to keep 8 children for being raped at the will of the adult than let them all continue to be abused because of the off chance that 2 were consenting...

it's simply the lesser of 2 evils as i see it.

it's also the law .. and i'm in favor of enforcing the law.. if you dont like it, change it..
