I will assume, given the numerous replies and the ample time to search my works in the archives that I was correct to fear the worst; that you are arguing against a position of mine you know full well is not mine and which cannot be substantiated with a quote of mine.

Its sheer cowardice and far too typical of you to throw words in the mouths of those who disagree with you in an effort to avoid engaging with anything they do say. I might be able to defend what I have said if it was posted by you. But you know that and so you avoid that.

Your lack even the most basic faith that your characterization of another could stand up to the scrutiny of comparing them to their own words side by side.

I will not bother asking you to be decent about this again. That seems futile now.

But I will still continue to quote your original texts where I disagree with their meaning, intention or spirit so that you can defend the quote and so that your primacy over it can be reestablished. I am not afraid to have my description run parallel with what source text I am describing.
