Unless the kid has some open-minded parents in their life, your former statement is undoubtedly correct. But are you familiar with the Trauma Myth by Susan Clancy? She found that adults who had sexual encounters as children with adults where they didn't feel forced wound up feeling traumatized and ashamed relatively later in life, when the stigma hit them like a ton of bricks. Growing up they were fine with it and even happy about it. |
