Recently I came across Healthline's article on pedophilia. I have linked to it down below. I am hoping that as many of you on this board as possible can read that article and lend your feedback on what the article got wrong (there are many things, I think) as a way of presenting our case on pamphlets, to health sites on the Web, etc. Of course, Healthline considers pedophilia to be a mental illness, rather than a legitimate sexual orientation, despite the fact that such an assessment is starting to look less scientifically accurate and more simply political by the day. Of course, none of the arguments for taking pedophilia off the list of mental illnesses in the DSM were presented in the article. I don't think this article intended to be particularly malicious, but it was clearly off base in many cases and the way children are today viewed by society seems to be as much a problem towards understanding this orientation as any attitude towards pedos themselves.

Surprisingly, the article identified ephebophilia as a distinct condition, but didn't elaborate on whether it's considered to be "abnormal" or not.

Is anyone willing to take this baby apart point-by-point? I look forward to all feedback from those who do.
