You've been here since 2000? Wow, I wish I had been around back then. It sounds like things were very different. I don't know why things are so different now, and I think you've asked some very good questions. I hope the moderators will be kind enough to answer. If I had to speculate, I'd say that they are probably worried that the antis are watching us closer than ever and if we were linking to pictures of little girls all the time, they would claim we trade child porn. I know that is a stretch, but that may be one reason they don't allow it anymore. I really don't see how linking to legal images would get GC closed down. Something I also note, from my own experience. Years and years ago, I was a member of a few GL forums that did allow links to pictures and such. But, from what I saw, people abused this privilege and most of those sites quickly degraded into some people trading questionable images (no, there was no child pornography). There is always the danger of something similar happening here too. Where would the line be drawn? I might think a cute picture of a little girl in a bikini is acceptable, but the moderators might not and delete it. I think it would be hard to judge each image, because it would depend on each persons view of what is acceptable and what would be deemed child erotica. I know some child model sites have children in very provocative poses, and are considered erotica. Hell, some people think those model sites are child porn (which is insane). I think the moderators don't want to have to deal with such a hassle, and it's far easier to just ban all images of little girls. I don't really agree with that. I agree with you Whisper, I think any image of a little girl that is totally legal, should be allowed to be linked to. I will say that I don't have much use for images, but I do like to look sometimes. I can't think of any really good reasons why they can't allow it. I am looking forward to seeing what the moderators say in reply to your post Whisper. Who knows? Perhaps we'll be Lucky enough to convince them to allow us to link to legal images! Laterz. ![]() |
