Tilting against windmills hurts you more than it does the windmill, as Don Quixote discovered, and this is a quixotic undertaking on your part.

Imagine a Michigan fan going over to Lansing and walking into a bar filled with drunken Michigan State fans. Whose fault is it if he gets his ass kicked? There will come a time in the lives of those people when he can openly admit his preference, but that is neither the time nor the place.

And, the analogy is apt. Too many Americans are enmeshed in the media-created anti-pedo frenzy for you to risk putting your family in peril.

If you don't have enough sense to shut up for your own good, what about your son? And your wife? Haven't you learned already that coming out was a mistake? And now you want to compound the error.

Get over the martyr compulsion. Playing fair with scoundrels puts you at a disadvantage, since they have no scruples. You saw that in high school, in the army, and in your home town.
You got one suicide in your family; don't add any more tragedy.

It is too late to change the fact that you outed yourself unnecessarily (and your analogy of a cold does not even begin to hold water), but it is not too late to stop yourself from fucking up any more. All of them have had colds; not all of them have been peds

Shut that mouth. Bite the bullet and, if anything, imply that you have been slandered. But do not throw any more fuel on this fire.

Your urge to "redeem yourself' is not only impossible in today's climate, but dangerous to your family.
I can very easily imagine a scenario in which your rash behavior gets you taken away from your son for his own protection. Enough already.


If you persist in this madness, you should seek professional help. For a father to jeopardize his family borders on the criminally insane.

YOur first responsibility is to them, not to some misguided notion of "fairness"; you do not have a cold.

It is not a perfect world. Adapt to it.
