This is why that site should not be allowed

Josef_K's statement above perfectly lays out why their website poses a risk to all forum participants and the community as a whole. And my point has been validated by his statement alone.

Backroom talk had started, and the change in the staff's actions on VoA became apparent and defiant to the admins. Suddenly everything I (the now big bad sL) did was wrong in their eyes, as detailed some in the posted private staff and chatroom chats where you can read the mutiny unfolding.

Moderators riling up members, un-kicking admin-kicked members from chat, publicly criticizing admin actions on the forums, and the above mentioned actions by a tech-admin (who was secretly planning his own site) telling people to ignore the rules and share messenger IDs publicly. Those are all big NONOs. And all this transpired while still in their official VoA staff positions, well over a month before any demotions which, quite frankly, by then they should have long asked for themselves peacefully.

But unlike Josef_K and others, I won't be publicly detailing private (staff/chat) conversations to clarify or give proper context to those claims and actions by disgruntled ex-staff. That's simply not something ANYONE in any trusted position should EVER do.

Instead, consider this. The new website encourages you to sign up and trust them with your posts, your private thoughts, your painful experiences, your vulnerability, your girl moments, your girl sightings, yet they did what you see above when things didn't go their way and their demands were not met.

Let all that sink in.

Therefore, I don't think I need to make a further case for why such website should exist, much less in a community like ours where trust is precious.

VoA has dealt with matters like this before (almost exactly the same, in fact). And although it was a painful event in VoA's history, VoA has survived, while the other site that was called "The Dollhouse" (to remind some old-timers here at GirlChat) did not fare well. For that site "without loyalty or a sense of duty to the cause" ended up servicing themselves (like this new site with their damaged ego and pride) and were raided for trading in illegal content.

Let us hope that this new website does not end up in the same way. For I lost many dear to me to that site, some of whom ending up rotting in jail because that site was more concerned with serving their needs than with serving the needs of the community.
