GirlChat #743905
A grand political debate without moderation wouldn't work here anymore. And I doubt many in the chat would want to hear it when they are present.
So we can have our views. One thing or two I must correct you on about where I'm coming from is, I don't see it as a Left vs. Right struggle. I'm not sure when I ever did, but most certainly not anymore. The ones that worry me play both sides. Also, the first time I posted "there won't be an election" was months ago, and that was me replying out loud to a young well-known strategist (nobody from this world) who obsesses about how to win an election (and really hates our kind, in that way that they daydream of how to inflict medieval methods of punishment despite trying to look pious & humble). I feel that eventuality and its odds are growing more all the time, so little Mr. Prodigy was just spinning his wheels in vain. As a topic on the right lately, it has gained more traction as November approaches. They are seeing how many negative variables there are - most of the same ones I was seeing... too many real and fake excuses to not give up power regardless of quaint silly elections by the people, should those they plan to have take power are not gaining good odds. I'm sure you can imagine some of these excuses yourself, no? Pandemic, rioting, assasination, 9/11-type event, 10/7-type event, market crash and/or global war... I mean, I feel like the ones pulling strings in the shadows have an entire buffet set out before them, a veritable SCHMORGASBOURG of choices to fall back on. And all as some numbers idiot tries to wargame soccer moms and Wisconsin. The difference is, I'm not saying it as a Trump hopeful. I'm saying it cynically as I watch the plans of those looking down on it all failing, and knowing that the ace cards they use are going to become excuses for suspending elections temporarily or permanently if that's what it takes... because that's what they do when the usual veils fail and are lifted when the public starts to grow wise to the old ploys. And you know what (or as Biden whispers, "Guess what")? I HOPE to be wrong, because believing I'm probably not wrong is quite the dark place to imagine the future from. And then you've got these other nutcases around Europe pushing for escalation of conflict so nobody can boot them to the curb over the shitty way they've ruined all their countries either. So yes indeed, we're going to see soon enough. We can chat a little about it real time, but I think we're all sick of everything everywhere being all politics. I'm not one to revert to exclamation marks and the name Hitler while denying your humanity when I disagree, and you seem to be similar, but I understood your warning label on your post. Most of the internet is not this way. I've heard rumors it was in its early days. |
