When I woke up, I was not able to use Tor Browser. It opened all right, but refused to connect to Tor, in other words to the bridges or something like that. And Windows Defender said that there is a serious malware threat called Win32/Malgent!MTB on my disk.
So now I am using my oooooold and sloooooow computer to post this message. This computer also updated the Tor Browser, but I could connect to Tor. Is it because there is no Windows Defender in this computer? I read that "Windows Security triggers an alert when the Tor browser is called up an quarantines the tor.exe file". Anyone else has similar problems? Or maybe they have, but they are not able to use Tor Browser and don't see this message. I hope the problem will soon be fixed. |
