Why is chat dominated by only a few people?

Everyone's contribution is very much appreciated.

Is it because our numbers are thinning, or because a few overpost and 'spam' the main forum. I put 'spam' in brackets becaues, once again everyone is posting decent content which isn't spam in the true sense of the word.

I am just wondering why this is happening though.
