Re-wiring my brain

People often mix up their boys' or girls' names.

My mother often called me by my brother's name or vice versa. We never took it personally. The same thing happens with me now, when I have more than one yf or student.

I am sure people who change their gender often get called by their old gender by those close to them and by the public in the case of celebrities. Why should I have to rewire my brain to remember that page is now a man if I grew up watching films of her as a female.

If she feels like a man, that is totally fine with me. But she shouldn't expect me to rewire my brain. It is on her for lying about being a girl all those years, since she has now come out as a man.
