On the other hand, the Boy Scouts organization has long taught boys to sew (chiefly just mending things, but all the same) and to cook (over a campfire) and basic hygiene and other such "girly" things, and at least in the USA the Girl Scouts organization has a rather poor curriculum and pushes the very sort of nonsense you are worried that the Boy Scouts would teach girls.

When society collapses we will need some girls hardened to realities of life in the wild and who have some basic skills for surviving in the wilderness - and they aren't going to get that in the Girl Scouts.

And let's keep in mind that the Boy Scouts is only allowing girls to participate in separate all-girl units, and that there is much more to a girl's life than Scouting.
