How do you use a computer?

I'm genuinely curious. I figure there must be software that reads webpages but have no idea how it works or how it wouldn't take forever to get something done. I'd love to learn more.

Do you like David Lynch? More general "weirdness" than sci-fi or fantasy specifically, but anyway...
