While listening to a history podcast because I love history I once again was listening to an example where the podcaster generally supported a leader being romantically involved with a much younger male (in this case emperor Hadrian being involved romantically with a 14 year old) was deemed ok, but him being with a 14 year old girl would have been met with the podcasters scorn as it had for previous such engagements.

Some of it was regarded as gay ok, hereo no. But, I've run into a lot of modern history papers, books, podcasts, videos, putting a very positive spin on gay older/younger relationships while they blast and say it was abnormal and disgusting by even ancient standards for a male/female relationship to be taking place.
