There is nothing wrong with making your point whether people can understand it or not.

I will listen to you tell me that all elephants are pink but I will probably disagree with you, as well.

But simply telling me that elephants are not what color I think they are and just leaving me hanging... well, it leaves me hanging and, maybe, I never get to see your proof that elephants are definitely pink. If you CAN prove it, I will gladly accept your point and espouse it myself.
