I've seen ASMR vids and none of them do anything for me. However, I can enjoy some of those deep meditative beatless music videos. And, like you, too, I can enjoy a rain and thunder video... IF it's a real one. The one you linked to did the same frustrating effect to me. At first, I liked it but, for me, when I look at something soothing like that, I'm falling into to it because of the minute details. Then, when the detail suddenly wraps in a loop, I find it intensely irritating. That detail jump just kills me. So, although I didn't yell at the screen, I did feel the instant need to delete the video.
