More sexual repression - a backlash?

Based on what you write here, I wonder if we saw vastly different movies with vastly different directors, actors and parents of actors.

The director of Cuties is hardly in favor of the sexual expressions of young women, much less girls. (In fact, finding out men liked watching videos of dancing girls was the inspiration for the movie) The girls' parents share the same hostility. In good feminist fashion, the girls were not asked for their opinion.

Netflix did clever marketing of a movie, promoting anti-pedophilia, to anti-pedophiles in another culture.
