People don't like rival cults that could interfere

with their own cult. If Jews have a lot of solidarity, and their own propaganda that they're putting out, that interferes with the state's narrative and agenda, then the state will perceive a threat. (That is, unless Jews are effectively in charge of the state, as is the case now, through their donations to the major parties, their control of the media and education establishments, etc.)

The state didn't like Mormons, for the same reason. They were reproducing like rabbits, and they had a lot of solidarity, to the point where they could affect the outcome of elections. So, Joseph Smith had to be killed.

With Jews, people have feared also their ability and tendency to manipulate, which could undermine a high-trust society.

Come to think of it, there are some parallels between that, and how people perceive pedophiles -- they worry they'll be able to manipulate kids. Except a lot of these pedos are just sitting at a computer downloading images, or are the ones getting preyed upon by cops posing as minors.
