Here's a few of the main reasons I can't really be an atheist anymore:
- Scientists like Michu Kaku who say - Scientists like Lawrence Krauss and Dawkins who are People... which scientists are... can be wrong. Einstein was. Hawking was. I have been. We humans know that fire can never be controlled. The sun goes around the earth which is the center of god's created universe, pig meat is dirty and unholy, and all stars are 7,000 years old. Rabbits come out of hats and can lay easter eggs for little girls. Little girls are traumatized by sexual pleasure. But... I think; therefore, I am. Can't go wrong there. What else is there? Don't know; don't care. I see a pizza on the table, my first reaction is to go eat it. When flying in Instrument Meteorological Conditions and my instruments tell me that I am too close to the ground for where I want to go, I do what I was trained to do to preserve my life and succeed in getting to where I want to go. When I see a pretty (no, they all are pretty) little girl, I am attracted to Her. When I see a big ugly (to me) guy, I'm not. Is that pretty little girl attractive to the big ugly guy? Not if he is gay. I think; therefore... okay, I exist. Whether that is in a simulated universe of a real one. I still think. I have to go on that. I have no other choice. - The big bang theory may be falling. So? Geo-centrism did fall. The sound barrier did fall. Walking on the moon happened. Superluminal travel might happen. A silly car went to Mars and back. (I wonder where it is now...) ... now in space we're discovering things that are "older" than the universe! Do you have references for that? I'd love to read up on it. - Near-death-experiences. It seems there MIGHT be something to those. There is no pain you are receding A distant ship, smoke on the horizon You are only coming through in waves Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse Out of the corner of my eye I turned to look but it was gone I cannot put my finger on it now The child is grown The dream is gone I have become comfortably numb But please don't become a Muslim, Gim. (Gim giggles.) Not hardly. I was being rhetorical. |
