Can the passion be Hers?

Please note that Her 1st is playing off of Natsuho... as it should be. But to see Her tag Her 1st and Her 1st waiting for it... god, that was impressive. As a soloist, She has no sheet music; it's all by impeccable memory.

Years ago, I watched and listened, in their living room, to my Chinese friend's thirteen year old son play... heck, I can't remember which piece he was playing. He played very well for a violinist and you could tell he had put many hours in. In spite of his errors, all his work showed. However, as he played, his contempt for what he was doing was quite obvious. His parents probably knew, probably were deaf to the errors, but were proud of their son's accomplishment. And his resulting music.

Later, their son confided in me that he would have rather played a game of Tetris.

You can't play the way Natsuho did with that kind of thinking. Natsuho obviously loved doing what She did. There are many Chinese, Korean, and Japanese children forced into liking what instruments that they play. While you can't tell from their faces, you CAN tell from their artistry that it isn't their own passion, but their parents'.
