Nature of Pedophilia/GM at the end

I'm thinking there are at least three distinct groups of pedophiles. Those who feel threatened by women, those who have a misguided parental affection, and those who are mentally retarded and identify more with children than adults.

I believe that the majority of people here (myself included) are in the second group. I believe that no one in this group would ever seek to harm a child, but the almost inevitable introduction of sexuality in this case could lead to lasting psychological harm, even without therapists convincing her of it. I'm inclined to agree with Ethan's principles. Children should not be introduced to sexuality before puberty. Even if we think we have the relationship with the girl, it may well be passive-abusive because the girl isn't sure what to say or doesn't want to destroy a relationship with a man she considers her friend just because it became weird.

The above is a drunken block of text, I would love more than anything to be friends with a little girl, to be someone that she cares about.

I was jogging yesterday and was just about to quit after the first mile when a girl (maybe 5 or so) on her porch shouted hi, I said hello back and waved (I got a smile) and continued on to finish the second. That small little gesture gave me a boost.
