I think I agree with you on just about all of this.

I can only see one real problem connected to pedophilia, and that is that those who "struggle" with their "impulses" can't safely seek out a psychologist to help them deal with whatever mental baggage is making them feel that way.

I can see a few more... Pedophiles going to prison for looking at some child porn... some 12-year-old being on the sex offender registry for life because he stuck his hand in his sister's panties a couple times... Civil commitment (ever read this? http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2013/01/14/the-science-of-sex-abuse)... Think Paul Christiano's situation... Mandated reporter laws destroying families on the one hand and deterring abused children from getting help on the other...

Step one in dealing with a lot of that is trying to get people to see that even celibate pedophiles who don't want to lower the AoC laws aren't monsters.
