My understanding from scientists is that female sexuality is more complicated and flexible than male. From a scientific point of view, the vast majority of men are either gay or straight. True bisexuality is pretty rare in men -- one explanation for some cases being that men are not disgusted by the gender that they aren't particularly attracted to.
When they try to measure women's responses, the tendency is for all women to react sexually to just about all sexual stimuli of either sex. The somewhat disconcerting implication may be that the primary physical sexual response in women is protecting herself against physical damage and in the environment of evolutionary adaptation she didn't always have a choice. But forgetting the desire of scientists to find neat generalizations, I think it's great for women to have the freedom to sort these things out based on emotional considerations (rather than being limited by raw physical response) and come up with the relationships that suit them best. That would seem to argue against truly exclusive female pedophiles. I highly recommend "Blue is the warmest color". The main character is a very sexual 17-year-old (she turns 18 in the movie) who is primarily a lesbian. She's above my main age of attraction (and not my type) but her humanity is pretty stunning, and you get 3 hours of it. |
